How to Manage Subscriptions in Jentla E

    The Subscriptions section of Jentla E is used for Managing all aspects of the Subscriptions.

    To Access the Subscriptions Section:

    1. Login to Site Administrator (http://<your domain>.jentla.com/manager/administrator)

    2. Choose Components > Jentla E > Subscriptions.

    From the left-side menu choose Subscriptions. The list of subscriptions displays:

    Adding a New Subscription

    In the Subscriptions view click the New button in the upper right corner of the screen. The subscription details page displays where you can set:

    The following tabs are required to add the new subscription. Please see the details for each one in below sections:

    General Tab

    Type Tab

    Description Tab

    Cost Tab

    Conditions Tab

    Image Tab

    Sites Tab

    General Tab

    The following informations are required on General Tab:

    • Name - Enter the name of the Subscription

    • Subscription status - This option is used for managing the Subscription. Here you can use two options such as Display Subscription and Archive Subscription

    • Display Subscription - Select this option to enable the description and display it in the front end 

    • Archive Subscription - Select this option if you want to archive the subscription, i.e. hide it and choose to display it at some other point in time

    • Subscription Categories - Select the category from category list, this subscription belongs to which category. Multiple category selection is also possible

    • URL - The subscription URL

    • Date Available - Starting the date you set here the subscription will be displayed on your site(s)

    • Notes - Enter here any additional information that you want to provide on your site related to this subscription

    Type Tab

    The following informations are required on Type tab:

    Type - The Type options are choosen from the drop-down list. There are five types

    • Basic - It is a default value

    • Casual - X deliveries per X days to be used in the next X days

    • Seasonal - X deliveries to be used in the next X days

    • Support - Getting input in Mins.

    • Store Membership  - It will prompt the user  'The previous Stored Subscription will be changed to the type Basic?' 

    • Article Views - Views of articles

    Use - It has three option to set

    • Fixed - If Fixed selected Start Date, Finish Date and Period are available. When two input boxes are completed, the third is calculated and populated automatically. Clients only Order Subscription, before the Subscription Start Date

    • Flexible - If Flexible is selected Start Date, Finish Date, Latest Possible Start Date and Subscription Period are available. When two input boxes of Finish Date, Latest Possible Start Date and Subscription Period are completed, the third is calculated and populated automatically. Clients only order that subscription by using before the latest possible Start Date

    • Predefined - If Predefined is selected Start Date, Finish Date, Latest Possible Start Date and Subscription Period are available. When two input boxes of Finish Date, Latest Possible Start Date and Subscription Period are completed, the third is calculated and populated automatically. Client Order Subscription by choosing input Date box before the latest possible Start Date

    • Period - Set for how long (time period in days) the subscription is available

    • Start Date - This option is for defining the starting date for this subscription

      Note: The start date is already defined only in the case when predefined is selected.
    
    • Finish Date- This option is for defining the ending date for this subscription
     Note: The end date is already defined only in the case when predefined is selected.
    

    Description Tab

    Enter the description for the subscription in the Editor.

    Cost Tab

    The following informations are required on Cost Tab:

    • Fees (Net) - Enter the net value for the subscription fee

    • Fees (Gross) - The gross fee field will be automatically updated based on the selected tax class

    • Packing Slip - Select this check box for setting up merge fields which will be displayed within the packing slip

    Note: The system will automatically fill in customer’s info based on the chosen merge fields.

    Eg. Sydney for “Delivery_City”). The following merge fields are available:
    Delivery_Name
    Delivery_Street_Address
    Delivery_City
    Delivery_State
    Delivery_Post_Code
    Delivery_Country
    

    Conditions Tab

    The following informations are required on Conditions Tab:

    • Conditions - Enter the terms and conditions for the subscription

    • Period - Enter the setting for the subscription length in days

    • Pending Period - Enter the pending period for payment methods with pending status (cheque, money order).The subscription will have the pending status until the customer pays for the service. If the orderstatus is not changed from pending to processed before the pending period, the subscription will be canceled.

    • Renewal Period Start -Enter the day during the month when renewal period should start

    • Renewal Period End Enter the day during the month when renewal period should end

    • Wallet Payment - Select this checkbox if you wish to allow wallet payment for the subscription

    • E-marketing on Renewals - Select the radio button to specify whether e-marketing functionality should stop or continue during the renewal period. The options available are Continue and Stop

    • Periodic Payment - Select this checkbox if you wish to allow periodic payment

    • Periodic Payment number of days - Enter the desired number of days for periodic payment

    Image Tab

    The following information is required on Image Tab:

    Product Image - It is to upload the subscription image. you can insert an image (such as a logo for your product). Click the Select button and a dialog appears where you can select the image file and then click the Insert button to complete.

    Sites Tab

    Suggested Sites - Select from the Suggested Sites list the sites you want to ad the subscription to. Use Ctrl+click for multiple selections.

    Click the Save button at the top-right corner of the page to save the new subscription or Click Cancel to abort.

    Viewing the Subscription Payment Logs

    You can keep track of your subscription payments by selecting the Subscription Logs option from the left side menu. You can see for each entry details such as: Date, First/Last Name, Email Address, Billing Name, Payment Method (cash, credit card, etc.), Payment info (credit card details), Site details are maintained

    Here you can see which users have paid for subscriptions and who have not paid and also a  successful and failed transaction logs. If its successfully subscribed, the status of the entry is “Success” otherwise it displays “Failed”.

    Click the Node Logs    button in the upper right corner of the window and it will update the Subscription list.
