How to upload Video/Flash in an article

    This topic targets to add  their Video/Flash to Jentla site articles. The following information shows how to upload Video/Flash and embed it in an article.

    To Add a Video/Flash file inside a Jentla Article:

    1. Login to Jentla Content Manager (http://<yourdomain>/manager or http://<yourdomain> where the manager has its own subdomain).

    2. Go to Content Administration in the user menu which is located on the left side of the page. You will be directed to the articles display page.

    3. Either click an existing article link in the article list (the article where you want to add the Video/Flash file) or click the New button option at the top-right corner of the page to create a new article. You will be directed to the Edit article screen.

    4. Enter the Display title, Article URL, Internal title, Secondary URL in the appropriate fields at the top of the screen.

    5. Click the Content tab to add the desired content in the Summary and Body areas using different styles. If no content is entered into the summary region then the article will not be displayed in menus on the website.

    6. Continue with the file upload, by clicking either Video or Flash tab, according to the type of file to be uploaded. Please see the details for each case in the below sections:

    Video Tab

    This section describes the details of adding a video file to your article. In that case attaching a video using the Video tab. This is unlike the Videos button located on the Content tab (beneath the Content region) which allows the particular video will be placed anywhere within the content (Summary area or Body area).

    The following is an example of Video tab.

    The following information is required on the Video tab. The Video tab includes four forms:

    • Video Search
    • Video
    • Videos upload
    • Selected Videos

    Video Search

    Video search can be used for searching for uploaded video files, as illustrated below:

    The form includes the following three fields:

    • Keyword - used to search the library of uploaded videos by the title or file name of the videos
    • Date - used to search the library of uploaded videos by the dates the files were created
    • Search - Click the Search button to search the library of uploaded video files and it is filtered by the above criteria

    Video Upload

    Video upload is used for uploading a new video to Jentla, as illustrated below:

    The form includes the following fields:

    • Video - Used to select the video to upload to the system
    • Thumb image - The image which is to be used as a thumbnail for the video
    • Watermark image - The image which is to be used as a watermark for the video
    • Section - The section in which the video is to be published 
    • Metadata - Under Metadata these fields are included:
      • Subject - The subject of the selected video
      • Category - The category to which video belongs
      •  From - The original source of the video content

    Videos

    Uploaded videos are shown in the Videos panel for selection and attachment to the article. The following is an example of the Videos panel.

    You can select any one of the videos listed and click the corresponding attach button below the video thumbnail. The video will then be automatically added to the currently open article and will be available for embedding and positioning in the content by clicking the Video plugin button below the WYSIWIG editor in the Content tab.

    Selected Videos

    Selected Videos will display videos that have been attached to the current article, such as the example below. Videos may be removed from the article by clicking the remove button next to each video thumbnail for those videos that are to be removed.

    Flash Tab

    This section describes the details of adding a flash file to your article. When uploading Flash files the user should use the Flash tab. Selecting the Flash movie will be attached to  the Flash at the bottom of the article content.

    The following information is required on the Flash tab's three forms:

    • New Ajax file upload
    • Flash Videos
    • Selected Flash Videos

    New Flash Object

    The New Flash Object panel is used for selecting and uploading a new SWF (Shock Wave Flash) file to the Jentla system.

    Flash Videos

    The Flash Videos panel is used to attach, edit or delete the SWF files which have been uploaded to the Jentla system. The following is an example of the Flash Videos panel:

    The following options are available from the Flash Videos panel for each uploaded file.

    • Attach  - Click this icon to attach the Flash file to the current Jentla article
    • Edit  - Click this icon to edit the Flash file's parameters. Clicking on this icon opens the Flash Video Details form, as illustrated below:

     The following attributes can be edited in the above form:

    • Title - The title of Flash file. It should contain keywords relevant to SEO (Search Engine Optimization) of the article and the Flash file's content
    • Description - The Flash file's description, which should also contain keywords relevant to SEO
    • Show Title in Front page - Choose the option (Yes or No) whether the Flash file's title will be visible on the front page
    • Show Description in Front page - Choose the option (Yes or No) whether to display the Flash file's description on the front page
    • Play URL - This field should be filled in if the Flash file is stored on a separate server and will not be uploaded to Jentla. It should be the absolute URL of  the SWF file to be displayed
    • Display Width - The width that the Flash file will be shown
    • Display Height - The height that the Flash file will be shown
    •  Flashvars - Input field for any Flash specific variable values that need to be passed for the desired display or effect
    •   Delete    - Deletes the Flash File from the Jentla system

    Selected Flash Videos

    The Selected Flash Videos panel shows what files have been selected to be attached to the current article. Selected files may be removed by clicking on the "X". The following image illustratesthe Selected video files:
