    Improve you site's features

Action fields help you develop business processes and forms rapidly, without the need for custom code. To start using different types of action fields on your site, you must first follow these steps :

    Create the Category

    • Login to Manager Front-end (http://<your domain>.jentla.com/manager).

    • Go to Categories menu:

    • Press on the New button. Complete the new category details fields. Category Title is Mandatory.

    OTHER INFORMATION REQUIRED ON PAGE:

    • Alias - provide an alias, alternate title for your category

    • Parent - if applicable, map this category under an already existing one, set as parent

    • Status - choose whether you want your category to be published or not

    • Access - set access to the category from the drop-down ( other than public, you can restrict the access to one user only)

    • Permissions - set permissions to this category (inherited, allowed, denied)

    • Language - your category's language

    • ID- used to store your category in our database; generated automatically

    • Description - use the editor to add a summary of the category ( what is about, what is intended for)

Click the Save button to save your details, as you will be directed to the category listing page.

    Create the action fields

    • Login to Manager Administrator (http://<your domain>.jentla.com/manager/administrator). Navigate Components > Jentla Action Fields > Action Fields, as so:

    action fields.png

    • On the Action Fields page, press on the New action button on the upper right side of the page. Create the action fields as you like. To choose their types go to the Edit ActionField Type field. In this example, we've created one text field (Field1), one password field (Field2) and one General Action type field (Field3). The three new AF's are showed in the action field list.

Map the action fields to the AF category

While in Manager Administrator, go to Components > Jentla Action Fields > Action Fields Groups. Click on the New action button on the upper right side of the page and create a new action field group containing the three action fields from our previous step. Remember to also choose the "Action Category"  created before.

    • Field Name - your actionfield group name

    • Table Name- the table name to display your actionfield group

    • Category - choose from the list the category is already created  ( in our case <<Action Category>>)

    • Content Action Fields - choose the action fields to be included in your group.

After mapping the correct category and action field to the Jentla action field group ( in our example Action Category), save the details by pressing the Save&Close button at the top-right corner of the page.

    Create the Base/Form articles
